Orientation for New Employees

Orientation for New Employees

Welcome to Our Team

As a valued team member, you are University Health’s greatest asset. We could not accomplish the great things we do without your support and dedication.

Beginning the Orientation Process

During your new hire orientation, we introduce you to all the benefits of working at the University Health, provide you with a chance to interact with other employees and more.

During this two-day interactive orientation, new employees are assigned to a team. Expect lots of teamwork interaction — thinking, moving and speaking — with other new employees.

Participate in “Gamification,” an interactive board game using your phone, where you compete with other teams asking and answering questions. Gamification is an engaging and creative method for setting goals and achieving milestones, while helping retain all the new information a new employee has to know.
This self-study orientation is for new part-time and PRNs or former PRN University Health employees returning to work after a year. The content and concepts are based on the classroom orientation that all PRNs need to know.
After completing “The Journey Begins Now” orientation, new employees are directed to departments to work one-on-one with their supervisors (or designees) for a 30-day department orientation.

As a contract employee or vendor, you are an important member of our extended staff. It is important that you understand and comply with our policies concerning customer service, safety and infection control.

Please review the following courses that pertain to your type of employment and complete the Orientation Verification form:
