Community Health Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy

University Health is committed to identifying the critical health needs of our community. For more than 20 years, University Health has partnered with other hospitals and organizations in Bexar County to produce a shared Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This is accomplished through the mutual funding and support of the Health Collaborative. Together, we review data, interview local leaders and listen to community focus groups to better understand the needs of our community. Read our 2019 and 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment.

University Health is taking steps to address these community needs. We are implementing programs, delivering services and engaging in a variety of collaborative partnerships. To learn more about how we are investing resources to improve the health of our community, read our 2020 and 2023 Implementation Strategy.

The University Health Board of Managers approved this CHNA and Implementation Strategy in March 2023. Provide your input, ask a question or request a printed version of these documents by completing the form below.
