Stay Safe in the Heat!

Summer is fun, but it's also important to stay safe when the Texas weather gets hot. Here are some tips to help you avoid heat-related problems like heat exhaustion or heatstroke:

  • Drink plenty of water - Water helps your body stay cool!
  • Take breaks - If you're playing or working outside, take regular breaks to cool down.
  • Avoid the hottest time of day - It's hottest outside between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Know the signs of a heatstroke - If you feel very tired, dizzy, or your skin gets hot and dry, tell someone right away
