CareLink

University Health cares about each of our patients, regardless of income level. We offer the CareLink financial assistance program to Bexar County families who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for other coverage. While CareLink is not health insurance, CareLink helps make health care services at University Health more affordable.

Preventive Health

Staying on top of your health is important. Getting regular checkups and health screenings can help prevent conditions before they start or worsen. Schedule an online appointment with a University Health provider at a clinic near you. We provide routine check-ups for adults and children, women's health exams, immunizations and more.

Opened in early 2026, the 3-story, 60,000-square-foot Vida is home to the Institute for Public Health. This multi-specialty health care center is the first building on the University Health Palo Alto Campus on the city’s South Side.

Pharmacists provide free screenings signaling risk factors for heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses.

This week, at University Health’s Robert B. Green campus, pharmacists provided free cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings to more than 60 adults. They also provided protection from illness by giving 40 people an updated flu shot in advance of this year’s respiratory season.
