Minimally Invasive Treatments
Once you’ve been diagnosed, your care team will collaborate with you to determine the best treatment plan for you. At our heart specialty center, you will have access to the latest, minimally invasive and surgical therapies, including:
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Mitral Clip (Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair)
- Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR)
- Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty (BAV) and Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty (BMV)
Our specialists can also perform a transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR), which is an alternative to open-heart surgery. We are the first to bring this cutting-edge treatment to South Texas.
Structural Heart Defect Repairs
In addition to valve interventions, our center treats a variety of structural and congenital heart defects using minimally invasive techniques, including:
- Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) Repair
- Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) Repair
- Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) Closure
- Patent Ductus Arteriorus (PDA)
