Our doctors are board-certified in their field of expertise, and as faculty physicians through UT Health San Antonio, they are at the forefront of the latest research on pediatric orthopedics. In fact, the founders of the department were world leaders in treating pediatric fractures. They wrote the medical textbook Rockwood and Wilkins’ Fractures in Children used to teach medical students across the country.
Our pediatric spinal surgeons have handled some of the most complicated surgical procedures, helping children with scoliosis and other spine conditions. Our pediatric sports medicine specialists focus exclusively on sports-related injuries. Our other physicians handle all types of pediatric orthopedics, such as fractures, sprains and genetic conditions. Our pediatric oncologist specializes in bone cancer in children.
