Pediatric Intestine Conditions

  • Abdominal pain – Discomfort or pain felt in the stomach area
  • Allergic conditions - Food or medications can cause allergic reactions that impact the digestive tract.
  • Blood in stool – Can indicate various conditions like hemorrhoids to serious problems like gastrointestinal bleeding or infections
  • Celiac disease – An autoimmune disorder triggered by eating of gluten (found in wheat, barley and rye)
  • Constipation – Occasional bowel movements or difficulty passing stools
  • Diarrhea – Frequent, loose or watery bowel movements
  • Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) – When stomach acid flows back into the esophagus
