When you arrive at University Hospital, you’ll go directly to the Information Desk, located in the SkyTower, Level 1 of the main lobby.

When you arrive at the Women's & Children's Hospital, go to the Visitor Check-In desk in the Level 1 lobby of the Valero Atrium for directions.

The ambassador at the desk will direct you to the department where you’ll meet an admissions specialist, who will help you understand what to expect during your stay with us.

Together, we’ll:

• Fill out registration paperwork and sign release forms
• Discuss financial requirements or insurance
• Get directions or an escort to the appropriate hospital department

If you’re admitted through our Emergency Department, emergency admitting staff coordinates your arrival.

Registration Process

The registration process helps us record your visit and ensures you’ll receive the care and attention you deserve. In addition to completing paperwork, you’ll be asked to provide:

• Contact information
• Family or emergency contact
• Place of work
• Type of health insurance

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and your health insurance cards. We will ask you to sign a consent form giving us permission to provide you with care and support.
