University Health celebrates opening of new primary care clinic in Converse

University Health joins Converse Mayor Al Suarez and the Converse Economic Development Corporation today to celebrate the opening of the community’s only primary care clinic.

The new clinic at 8455 Crestview Drive will serve the entire family, from birth through senior years. Providers will offer comprehensive care, including disease prevention services, diagnoses of illnesses, injury care and access to treatment for chronic conditions.

In the same location, UT Health San Antonio will offer OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine services, with specialists equipped to care for women through healthy and high-risk pregnancies.

At the open house, visitors can tour the clinic, talk with doctors about health care options and schedule appointments for medical visits.

Suarez and the Converse Economic Development Corporation will join University Health in a ribbon cutting. University Health President & CEO George B. Hernández, Jr. and Dr. Kristin Plastino, an OB-GYN, will be available to talk about how the clinic is filling a vital need in the area.

Representatives from the office of Congressman Henry Cuellar and the Converse Economic Development Corporation will address the importance of providing health care in an area that is currently underserved.

Join us and learn how University Health is expanding to meet the needs of our growing South Texas population.
