University Health has filled all vaccine appointments

University Health has completely filled the more than 24,000 appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations that we opened to people in the Phase 1B group - people 65 and older, and those 16 and older with chronic medical conditions.
As a testament to the incredible desire in the community to get the vaccine, many thousands of people had registered to receive notice when we reopened appointments, and we filled all 24,240 available slots in three hours and 45 minutes. We will schedule appointments further into the future as soon as we receive more information on future vaccine distribution.
It is important to note that we scheduled appointments several weeks in advance, instead of one week at a time, even though the state is currently only confirming the amount of COVID-19 vaccine we will receive on a weekly basis. We want to give people the assurance that they have a scheduled appointment. However, that appointment is dependent upon the vaccine shipment for their week. University Health will post each Friday on our website when we can confirm that we are receiving vaccine for the following week. People will be able to check there to verify that we are receiving their vaccines.
We will also notify the public through social media and news media. Once people see the appointments for their week are confirmed, they can be sure their appointment is now secure. If University Health does not receive vaccine for a particular week, those appointments will be rescheduled for another week.
