We’re celebrating July Fourth with our new neighbors on the Northeast side
Fourth of July is filled with traditions that honor our values and bring people together. This year, University Health is thrilled to be celebrating that red, white and blue spirit by meeting many of our new neighbors near University Health Retama Hospital on the Northeast side.
We are within months of opening the doors to our 147-bed hospital located along the I-35 corridor of Loop 1604 next to the Retama Park horse track. This July Fourth, we are joining with Retama Park, located at 1 Retama Parkway in Selma, to present the free Stars & Stripes Spectacular featuring family-friendly activities, horse rides, live music and – of course – phenomenal fireworks around 9 p.m..
“We appreciate Retama Park hosting this fun-filled Independence Day event and look forward to meeting many of the people we will be serving,” said Jeremy Riney, CEO for University Health Retama Hospital. “This is a great opportunity to introduce the community to the many healthcare services we will be providing close to where they live and work when our hospital opens in the first quarter of next year.”
University Health will be at Retama Park on July Fourth starting at 6 p.m. to say hello and share information about the healthcare services that will be available at our new hospital in the first quarter of 2027. Make sure to visit our University Health Blood Donation Bus powered by University Health Foundation and Toyota Texas. It travels throughout the community offering citizens and community groups the opportunity to contribute to our valuable blood supply. You can check the Blood Donation Bus schedule and make an appointment at DonateBloodToday.com.
We are joining the neighborhood, meeting families we hope to serve for many generations and celebrating the kind of patriotism that builds healthier communities.
