Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Provides nursing care that is efficient, appropriate, and therapeutic for patients while ensuring that established security requirements are maintained as defined by the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.

Education/Experience:

  • Experience in correctional health care, psychiatric nursing, or nursing in an emergency environment is preferred.
  • Prior knowledge or experience within the University Health's nursing services and/or certification as a Certified Correctional Health Care Provider (CCHP) is also preferred.
  • Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Participates and initiates educational, administrative, managerial, and quality control duties. Performs professionally competent occupational therapy treatment programs and related documentation on all assigned patient programs efficiently and timely.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.
  • Supervisory and/or clinical teaching and additional clinical experience is preferred.
  • Licensure by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as an Occupational Therapist is required.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

This position will oversee the efficient and accurate management of registry data within a healthcare facility.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, HIMS, epidemiology, public health or related field is required.
  • Advanced degree (Masters) is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working with a trauma, burn, or related registry is required.
  • Certifications required within 12 months of hire: Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR) and Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS)
