I am a pulmonary and critical care physician at University Health and an associate professor of medicine at UT Health San Antonio, where I serve as the director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program. I am triple board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine.

Professional History

My professional journey began with undergraduate studies at the Austrian Institute of Guatemala in 2003, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad de San Carlos in Guatemala in 2010. I completed my internal medicine residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi in the Bronx, New York, and fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UT Health San Antonio in 2019.

In addition to clinical practice, I have held leadership roles including director of the thoracic outpatient services at University Health and associate program director for the internal medicine residency program at UT Health San Antonio, where I led the clinician educator track.
