Art Helps Kids Stay Safe

"How I Stay Safe" art contest winners gather for prizes downtown tonight.

Twenty-four children ranging from 5 to 11 years old will exhibit their imaginative winning pictures and collect their prizes. Half are students from Harlandale ISD and half are from San Antonio ISD.

The students created images based on the theme “How I stay safe.” They chose the setting – home, school, or in the community. The 24 winners made it through five rounds of judging and will receive prizes ranging from bikes to Witte Museum passes. One of last year’s winners is pictured above. This year’s winners will be displayed tonight.

Wednesday, May 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
