Volunteers Are Vital to Our Community

When you volunteer at University Health, you add some light into a patient’s or a family member’s life. Whether that’s greeting visitors with a smile at the information desk, handling clerical work so our doctors can spend more time with patients, reading to hospitalized children or knitting preemie-size sweaters for newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit, our volunteers add an extra layer of compassion to our work.

Please consider the following program requirements before applying.

• Volunteers are required to give a minimum of 4 hours per month for a 6 month to 1 year commitment.
• Must pass a background check (a valid photo ID and Social Security Card required).
• Must pass a health screen (mini physical, urine drug test, TB test)
• Must have current proof of an Influenza Vaccine if applying during flu season (September thru April).
• We do not accept court appointed referrals.
