Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Interviews patients to obtain accurate and complete patient demographic and insurance information in order to complete the admission and registration of all patients at various locations throughout UH and to ensure the Patient Billing Department can bill timely and correctly for the services rendered at UH.
Education/Experience:
- High school graduation or equivalent is required.
- Six (6) months experience in a hospital/physician setting, obtaining insurance benefits and pre-certification is preferred.
- One year of experience in a similar occupation and basic medical terminology and ICD 9 coding experience is preferred.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Professional clinical experience not required.
- Licensure by the Texas Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as an Occupational Therapist is required.
