Why I Became a PNP
My son was born with a congenital heart defect which required surgery when he was 4 days old. I was amazed at the care he received from the doctors and nurses during that time, and eventually I became a pediatric ICU nurse and took care of children with similar diagnoses.
The opportunity to connect with families during difficult times has guided my decision to become a medical provider and show compassion to children who need medical care.
Philosophy of Care
I will always give quality care, show the most compassion and empathy to my patients, treating them as if they are my own. When a child is sick, requires surgery or needs special attention,they deserve the best and to feel like they are loved and not alone.
Favorite Parts of Medicine
I love to make children laugh, and when they are scared of me, I love the challenge of gaining their trust. I love learning new skills and techniques so I can provide my best care and I love how medicine continuously evolves and improves with research to provide the best most accurate treatment for any condition.
