About University Children's Health

About University Children's Health

University Children’s Health offers comprehensive pediatric services, from primary care to advanced specialized care for the most complex diseases. Hundreds of UT Health San Antonio specialists offer nearly every type of outpatient service for children inside the Robert B. Green Campus downtown.

The Women's & Children's Hospital is home to the only Level I pediatric trauma center and pediatric burn program in South Texas.

Partnering for Better Care

The University Children’s Health staff consists of nationally recognized physicians from UT Health San Antonio and University Medicine Associates. Together, these doctors and their specialized pediatric medical teams offer evidence-based care in a kid-friendly environment.

Additionally, University Health is proud to be South Texas’ first Magnet designated health care organization. This recognition, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is the “gold standard” in measuring the quality of care that patients can expect to receive. Our Children’s Health program is a member of the Children’s Hospital Association.

Research & Education

The UT Health San Antonio Department of Pediatrics trains the next generation of healthcare providers and improves care for everyone through research and innovation. Our physicians are regionally, nationally and internationally recognized, making life-changing treatments available to children in San Antonio, Texas, and around the world.
