Randy Harig, Chair

J. Randoph “Randy” Harig is the CEO of the Texas Research and Technology Foundation (TRTF) and VelocityTX. Prior to this position, Mr. Harig had over 40 years of experience in the medical industry. This includes direct sales to customers as well as all levels of management within health care. Randy has experience in sales and marketing and has held executive level positions in various businesses relating to the health care delivery system. He has been a serial entrepreneur from a young age and held positions such as president of a medical equipment leasing firm, president and CEO of an investment firm directed at medical properties, managing general partner of the Nix Medical Center, president and CEO of a regional manufacturer’s representative company and Chairman of the board of a contract research organization.

Mr. Harig served in the U.S. Air Force and Army Reserve for 10 years. Mr. Harig is a founding member of The Clocktower Bourbon and Cigar Club, an organization founded to further communication and goodwill between the senior military leadership and community leaders. Mr. Harig serves as the San Antonio Chamber representative to the Commander of Army South.

In December 2013, Mr. Harig retired and sold his company as president and CEO of RH Medical Inc., a marketing and distribution firm serving the U.S. and Mexico. Mr. Harig most recently served in the position of business development for OfficeSource Ltd.

Mr. Harig was appointed Chairman of Texas Research and Technology Foundation (TRTF) in December 2016. Since then he has redirected the focus of the foundation by forming VelocityTX and developing an innovation hub in downtown San Antonio focusing on bio sciences. On September 1, 2017, Mr. Harig changed position to president and CEO of TRTF to oversee its growth. Mr. Harig was then appointed to president and CEO of VelocityTX to oversee both VelocityTX and TRTF. As of March of 2018, Mr. Harig is CEO of both companies.

Mr. Harig is active in civic and church affairs and is a former member and chairman of Centro 21 (a San Antonio City Council appointed task force directed to promote downtown growth). Mr. Harig has been a board member of the Research Park foundation since 1985 and has held numerous positions within this board and is currently the CEO. Mr. Harig was in Leadership San Antonio Class of 10 and on the Steering Committee for 11. He is Chairman of the University Hospital Foundation, and on the board of the San Antonio Medical Foundation. Mr. Harig is a member of the Order of the Alamo and his daughters, Kay Kay and Jenness were Duchesses in 2006 and 2013. He is active in the Consejo organization. Randy is a member of the Chevaliers du Tastevin and travels around the world to meetings for the organization.

Randy has four children, five grandsons and a granddaughter. He is active in outdoor sports such as golf, hunting, fishing and bicycling around town. He and his wife Kay enjoy traveling around the world extensively.

Yvonne Gonzales, Chair-Elect

Ms. Gonzales is an active community volunteer, serving as a Girl Scout Co-Leader, a GLA for the 2022 class for the National Charity League - Alamo Chapter and a parent volunteer at St. George Episcopal School. She is also a Witte Museum Quillin Society member and was involved in the fundraising campaign for the expansion of the museum. Ms. Gonzales and her husband, Don, are raising two young daughters.

John Calhoon, MD, Vice Chair

Dr. Calhoon has been a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for over 20 years. He attended the University of Texas at Austin on a scholarship to play golf and graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1981. That same year, he came to his residency in San Antonio in general surgery. Dr. Calhoon is Professor and Chair, Cardiothoracic Surgery UT Health Science Center San Antonio, UTHSC President’s Council Chair for Excellence in Surgery, and Director, University Health/UTHSC Heart & Vascular Institute. He is the immediate past Secretary-Treasurer of the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, President-Elect of the Thoracic Surgery Director’s Association, and is a director of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is active in a number of civic areas and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Dominion Country Club.

George B. Hernández, Jr., Secretary/Treasurer

George B. Hernández, Jr. is the Secretary/Treasurer of University Health's Foundation Board of Directors. He is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of University Health. Among his numerous professional and service affiliations, Hernández serves as vice chair for the Daughters of Charity Services of San Antonio, board member for the United Way of San Antonio & Bexar County, member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Access to Health Care in Texas, member of the Board of Trustees for the Texas Hospital Association, member of the Governor's Texas Health Care System Integrity Partnership, and as local government representative for the Texas Health & Human Services Commission Task Force for Local Health Care Initiatives.

Francisco Garza, Immediate Past Chair

Mr. Garza serves as City Attorney for the cities of Balcones Heights, Bulverde, Karnes City, Helotes, Hondo, Kyle, Olmos Park, Rockwall and Terrell Hills. In April of 1997, he was named City Attorney for the City of San Antonio and managed the City’s Legal Department along with its 125 employees. Mr. Garza was responsible for advising the City Manager, City Council and other City officials concerning the legal duties relevant to their office. He served on the Board of Directors of the Texas City Attorney’s Association and served as President of the Board in 2013.

Jason Fraser, Executive Committee Member

Jason Fraser serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Valero Energy Corporation. Mr. Fraser’s breadth of experience includes overseeing all legal matters from Valero as General Counsel, strategic planning, investor relations, government relations, public policy and successfully leading their European commercial business. Mr. Fraser has played a critical role in both legal and financial matters relating to all aspects of Valero Energy Corporation. Mr. Fraser earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, and earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Prior to attending college, he served in the U.S. Army in 1986-1990. Mr. Fraser is a member of the Executive Committee.

Joe Earl Linson, Chair, Special Events Committee & Executive Committee Member

Joe Earl Linson joined the Board in 2016. Mr. Linson is the managing general partner of Chelsea’s Sandwiches of Texas, Inc., a full service catering and concessions company founded in 1997 by William and Sheila Franklin. Mr. Linson has an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Mountain View College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Mr. Linson’s civic responsibilities are many and varied. He is the former president of the Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Food Bank, as well as former Chairman of the Greater Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee. Mr. Linson is also former Chairman of the Youth Committee of the SA Chamber of the American Red Cross, and former Vice President of the local branch of the NAACP. Mr. Linson is a member of the Executive Committee.

James Adams

James (Jim) R. Adams has served on the Bexar County Hospital District’s Board of Managers since 1998. Nominated by Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, Mr. Adams is the Chairman of the Board and serves on the Budget and Finance Committee. He is retired from Texas Instruments where he served as Chairman of the Board, and previously retired from SBC Communications as Group President for International Operations and from Southwestern Bell Telephone as President/CEO.

Mr. Adams serves as Chairman of the Board of both Oncor Electric Delivery Corp. and LiftFund Inc. He also sits on numerous other boards such as Transpecos Financial Corp., the University of Texas Engineering Advisory Board, the Texas A&M School of Science Advisory Board, Alpha Home Advisory Board, as well as a number of local community boards that focus on education for Latino youth. Mr. Adams is president of the Harlandale Education Foundation and a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church, where he was a former Chairman of its Board of Trustees.

Janie Barrera

Janie Barrera joined the Bexar County Hospital District Board of Managers in September 2015. She was nominated by Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.

Ms. Barrera is the founding president and CEO of LiftFund, the largest micro and small business lender in the United States. Established in 1994 as Accion Texas Inc., LiftFund provides loans and training to businesses in 13 states including Texas. The nonprofit has disbursed more than 16,000 loans totaling more than $190 million.

Ms. Barrera earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. She has served on many national, state and local boards, including the Federal Reserve Board’s National Consumer Advisory Council. President Obama appointed her to the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability, and she was named to the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas – San Antonio Branch. Among her honors, she was named the Small Business Administration Financial Services Advocate of the Year and the Minority Enterprise Development Consortium’s Corporate Advocate of the Year. In 2015, she was inducted to the San Antonio Business Hall of Fame, and the San Antonio Business Journal has named her a Legacy Leader and one of “Twenty Defining Players: People Who Have Shaped the City."

Julie Bedingfield

Julie Bedingfield is the Public Affairs Manager for H-EB. She provides strategic communications support on a range of retail industry related initiatives and projects for H-E-B and oversees the company’s charitable giving strategy for the San Antonio region.

For more than a decade, Ms. Bedingfield has played a role in communicating the stories of some of Texas’ most iconic brands, including Spurs Sports & Entertainment, LIVESTRONG and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Her focus, both then and now, is helping companies and clients tell their story in an effective and compelling manner. At H-E-B, Ms. Bedingfield is one of many Partners working to help tell H-E-B’s story and working to impact the lives of Texans.

She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in both Public Relations and Political Communication. Ms. Bedingfield serves on the boards of It’s Time Texas and San Antonio Sports.

Jeanne Bennett

Jeanne Bennett joined the Board in 2005. She heads up the Private Banking/Wealth Services Group for Amegy Bank’s central Texas region. Ms. Bennett’s banking experience spans over 27 years, with the past 22 years at Compass Bank. As a senior vice president and private banking manager, her focus is primarily on medical account relationships. Ms. Bennett’s primary role is to assist in the establishment and maintenance of depository and loan accounts along with identifying other areas where she can add value to the customer.

Linda Elliott

Linda Elliott joined the Board in August of 2011. In 1999, she opened her own business, Elliott Connection, LLC, where she specializes in making strategic and profitable connections for her clients. She is also founder of Healthcare Think Tank, a member organization focused on the health care industry, with chapters in San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Dallas.

Ms. Elliott has always been active in the community, serving on numerous boards including the North Chamber (12 years), American Diabetes Association (both local and state), Arts San Antonio and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She is still active in NAWBO, having held many leadership positions over the years–including president.

Henry Feldman

Henry Feldman joined the Board in 2017. Mr. Feldman has managed urban hotels and destination resorts for 35 years. In 2004 he created Martin Feldman Hospitality Management to develop and manage hotels. His first venture was the La Quinta Conference Center in the Medical Center in San Antonio that opened in March of 2007. In addition to his company overseeing the management of La Quinta, he consults extensively for the hospitality industry.

Mr. Feldman is the past Chair of the San Antonio Tourism Council, the Oakland Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and the San Antonio Food Bank, from which he currently serves as a Board member. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, the California Hotel and Motel Association and the San Antonio Convention & Visitor’s Bureau Commission. Mr. Feldman is the founder of the San Antonio New World Wine & Food Festival, a non-profit organization.

Albert W. Hartman, III

Albert W. Hartman III joined the Board in November of 2014. Mr. Hartman received his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. After serving as Director of Alumni Relations and Development at St. Mary’s University School of Law since 2001, he was named Assistant Dean in 2004, from which he retired in December 2014. Previously he had been in the commercial title business in San Antonio for 25 years.

Mr. Hartman is a former member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and Friends of Scouting for the Alamo Area Council of Boy Scouts. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Bexar County Arts and Cultural Fund and the San Antonio Kids Exchange. Mr. Hartman is currently a member of the Lifetime Recovery Board, the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association and is a life member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition.

Jimmy Hasslocher

Jimmy Hasslocher was nominated to the Bexar County Hospital District Board of Managers in 2015 by Precinct 1 Commissioner Sergio “Chico” Rodriguez.

Mr. Hasslocher brings a wealth of business and community experience to the Board. He is president of Frontier Enterprises Inc., a family business whose roots extend back almost 70 years, and includes the iconic Jim’s Family Restaurants, Magic Time Machine and La Fonda Alamo Heights. He served on the San Antonio City Council from 1981 to 1991.

Among his community activities, he serves as president of the Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network District, past chair of SER Jobs for Progress of SA, past president and lifetime trustee of Boysville of Texas and director-emeritus and lifetime member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. In the business community, he was a 2013 Junior Achievement of South Texas inductee into the San Antonio Business Hall of Fame, elected Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year in 2009 by the San Antonio Restaurant Association, and is a Hall of Honor member of the Texas Restaurant Association.

Mr. Hasslocher is also an avid outdoorsman and serves on the board of the Texas Parks & Wildlife’s “Operation Game Thief” (an anti-poaching initiative). He is the past president and CEO of the Texas Deer Association and chairman/advisory member of the Wildlife Management Program at Southwest Texas Junior College.

Robert Hromas, MD

Dr. Hromas is the Dean at the Long School of Medicine and the Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Texas Health Center in San Antonio. The Long School of Medicine has over 1200 faculty, 900 medical students and 800 residents and fellows, and cares for over 1.5 million patients annually. Prior to that, Dr. Hromas was Chair of the Department of Medicine at University of Florida Health, where he is also Vice President of the University of Florida Physicians Clinical Practice Association, and a member of the UF Health Hospital Executive Board. He has personally trained 29 graduate students or fellows, most of which have entered academic careers, and 21 junior faculty, almost all of which have obtained tenure, with three obtaining Hematology-Oncology Division Chief Positions.

He has served on editorial boards of Blood and Stem Cells. He has won numerous teaching and patient care awards, including the Indiana University Humanism in Medical Education Award, the Indiana University Board of Trustees Outstanding Teacher Award, and the People Living Through Cancer Caring Award. He has served as Chair of Scientific Affairs for the American Society of Hematology, and as their congressional and media representative. He has published over 165 research papers, been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health for over two decades, and has chaired several NIH and American Cancer Society study sections. He has multiple patents and sits on three biotechnology company boards. His laboratory has isolated and characterized multiple novel cytokines and several DNA mutations leading to leukemia. He has identified several key components of DNA repair pathways. He created a drug development consortium that is translating University science to the clinic. He is the author of the business leadership book, Einstein’s Boss- 10 Rules for Leading Genius. For these and other accomplishments he has been elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigation, Association of Professors of Medicine, the American Clinical and Climatologic Association and the Association of American Physicians.

Laurence Kurth

Mr. Kurth serves on numerous boards, such as the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, the Bexar County Bar Association, the San Antonio Golf Association and the San Antonio Fiesta Commission, serving as president in 2005. He also serves as Chairman for Bexar County Precinct 3033, and was the former president of the American Indian Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Gerald Lee

Gerald Lee is an associate with Andrade – Van de Putte & Associates, a full-scale lobby firm. Mr. Lee has over 25 years of government and public affairs experience. He has served as Regional Director of Government Relations for the American Cancer Society, Vice President of Governmental Affairs for The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Governmental Affairs Director for the San Antonio Board of Realtors, Chief of Staff to a San Antonio City Councilman, Legislative Aide to a State Representative and owned his own firm.

Mr. Lee previously served as a Board of Trustee on the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. He is the past Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lifetime Recovery. He is a member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio and a graduate of the 25th Anniversary Class of Leadership San Antonio. He is a past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Antonio, San Antonio State Hospital Volunteer Council and American Lung Association. Mr. Lee is active in his church, Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, where he has served on numerous committees.

J. Rick Lewis

J. Rick Lewis joined the Board in 2002, and considers his involvement with this Board as among his most rewarding community service experiences. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Lewis is currently an Assistant Professor of Practice at University of Texas at San Antonio – College of Architecture, Construction and Planning.

During his tenure at UTSA, Mr. Lewis has taught across the breadth of the college’s curriculum. In addition, he has served in an array of administrative posts while at UTSA, contributing to the Architecture Program’s rapid growth and development since initial accreditation by the National Architectural Accreditation Board. Mr. Lewis is a registered architect with experience in a wide range of design endeavors with a particular expertise in historic architectural preservation and adaptive use projects.

Joe McKinney

Joe McKinney joined the Board in November of 2012. As Vice Chairman of Broadway National Bank since October 2002, Mr. McKinney focuses on business development for the Commercial Lending, Private Banking and Wealth Management divisions. Mr. McKinney retired in March 2002 as Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase Bank (formerly Chase Manhattan Bank and Texas Commerce Bank) – San Antonio Region with over 28 years banking experience. Mr. McKinney and his wife, Jennifer, have two grown sons, Joe Jr. and Clay.

He holds a degree in economics from Harvard University and a MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Broadway Bank, Luby’s, Inc., and New York REIT. He previously served on the Boards of USAA Real Estate Company, Prodigy Communications Corporation and US Global Investors Funds. He is the former Chairman of the San Antonio Economic Development Corporation.

Dr. Pamela M. Otto

Pamela M. Otto, M.D. joined the Board in 2006. Dr. Otto currently serves as Associate Professor/Director of Imaging and Intervention at The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and has been the Associate Professor/Medical Director of Radiology at Texas Department of Infectious Diseases and Director of Radiology at University Health since 2001. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and in 1988 with her Medical Degree. Dr. Otto currently serves on the Board of Directors for Magdalena House, Southern Medical Association Services and the San Antonio Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Dr. T. John Parsi, DDS, MBA

John Parsi, DDS, MBS, joined the Board in 2006. Dr. Parsi graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and later attended the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where he received his doctoral degree in dentistry. While in dental school he received multiple scholarships and awards for his research in oral cancer and implantology from the UTDB-Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Parsi also attended the Texas Children Hospital at Houston to further extend his understanding of children’s oral diagnosis and treatment modalities. Upon graduation, he began his practice in San Antonio as a family practitioner concentrating on all members of the family. While in practice, Dr. Parsi continued his dental education by taking many hours on new methodology in dentistry. He had received his certificate from Clinical Foundation of Orthopedic and Orthodontic Society, Mid-American Orthodontic Society and Sport dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Parsi is involved in continuing education and a preceptorship in dental implantology and esthetic dentistry. To improve the quality of service in his dental office, Dr. Parsi continued his education at night and recently received his master’s degree in Business and Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a member of the San Antonio Dental Society and a former member and speaker of the Bureau.

Steven J. Pritchard

Steven J. Pritchard joined the Board in 1993. He is presently the Principal of Steven J. Pritchard & Associates, a financial, real estate and management consulting firm. Mr. Pritchard is a former bank owner and CEO with 35 years of experience in banking, finance, business administration and accounting.

Mr. Pritchard is active in the community, having served on the Board of the World Affairs Council, and as Charter Board Member of the San Antonio Business Development Fund. He also served as Chairman for the Auction Sales Committee of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Father Flanagan’s Boys Town Board, and the University of Texas Century Club (San Antonio Chapter). Mr. Pritchard has also served as President of the South Texas Chapter of the Financial Executive Institute. From 2002 to 2008, he served as Trustee for the Alamo Heights Independent School District, as well as its President in 2007. Mr. Pritchard also has served as a member of the Alamo Heights Chamber of Commerce, North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the West Side Chamber of Commerce.

Jim Reed

Jim Reed joined the Board in February of 2014. He is the current President of the San Antonio Medical Foundation. Mr. Reed worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone (currently AT&T) for over 30 years. Mr. Reed is active in the community, having served as Chairman of the Board for the San Antonio Mobility Coalition, Board Chairman of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army Advisory Board, Target ‘90/Goals of San Antonio and the Transportation Advocates of Texas. He served three terms as President of the Oak Hills Country Club. He is currently a Board member of Government Personnel Mutual Life Insurance Company, the University of Texas at San Antonio Development Board, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Development Board and the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County.

Norma Reyes

Mrs. Reyes joined the Board in March of 2014. She has spent several years in the tourism industry both as a travel agent and as an agent working directly with U.S. Air customers. Most recently, Mrs. Reyes worked at Reyes Industries, the family business she started with her husband.

Mrs. Reyes possesses a deep passion and enthusiasm for the San Antonio community. She is very active in the community serving in various leadership positions on various boards. Mrs. Reyes is the Chair of the San Antonio Can High School Board; Board Member of the Bexar County Family Justice Center; a Member of the Women’s Club of San Antonio and Military Civilian Club; and a Member of the Miss Fiesta Committee since 2012 (served as Chairman in 2014). She has served as Commissioner of the San Antonio Fiesta Commission, President of the Lo Bello Women’s Club, for which she is an honorary member and is a past Board Member of the Museo Alameda.

Renée Yanta

Judge Renée Yanta joined the Board in January of 2016. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1993. Following law school, Judge Yanta worked in private practice as a litigator at Fulbright & Jaworski, then as head of the Appellate Practice Group at Cox Smith. From 2009 to 2012, she was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to preside over the 73rd District Court. Elected in November of 2014, Judge Yanta is currently the presiding judge for the 150th District Court in Bexar County.

Judge Yanta served as Chairman for the San Antonio Bar Association, the USLAW Network, and the Child Guidance Center. She has also served as President of the William Sessions American Inns of Court, the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association/Foundation, St. Mary’s University School of Law Alumni Association, and Texas Women’s Lawyers. Judge Yanta is a founding member of PEARLS (aka Girls Court), a joint project of the Bexar County Civil District and Children’s Courts and Girls Inc.

Margaret A. Kelley, MD

Dr. Margaret A. Kelley joined the Bexar County Hospital District Board of Managers in 2020. She was nominated by Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff. Dr. Kelley is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, R.I. She completed her OB-GYN residency at UT Health San Antonio in 2002. Since that time, she has practiced in San Antonio at Southeast OB-GYN Associates with her father, Dr. Harmon Kelley.

Dr. Kelley served as president of the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and as chairman of Section V, District Xl of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In 2007, as a representative of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she testified before the U.S. House Committee on Small Business’ Subcommittee on Regulations, Trade and Healthcare’s Hearing on “The Value of Health Information Technology to Solo and Small Medical Practices.” She has previously served as a trustee for the Center for Healthcare Services, Mental Health Authority for Bexar County.

In addition, she has served on the Board of Directors of Methodist Healthcare Ministries, the Alamo Public Telecommunications Council and the Texas Blood and Tissue Center. She also served as a member of the Vestry of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. In 2011, she was honored as a "40 under 40" Rising Star by the San Antonio Business Journal. She is a 2012 graduate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Robert Cefalo Leadership Institute. In 2019, Dr. Kelley was the recipient of the Outstanding Former Resident Award from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Health San Antonio.

Dr. Kelley is a member of the San Antonio Chapter of The Links, Inc., where she has held several leadership positions. In addition, she is a member of Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Bexar County Medical Society.

Ed Kelley

Ed Kelley retired as president and CEO of the USAA Real Estate Company after serving in that capacity for almost 17 years. Prior to that, for nine years, Mr. Kelley was the president of Barshop Enterprises, a San Antonio-based real estate development and investment firm. His professional experience also includes 14 years with Dallas-based Southwestern Life Insurance Company, where he held various management positions, culminating with senior vice president of Mortgages and Real Estate Investments.

Mr. Kelley has served on and continues to serve on a number of corporate and community boards, including past chairmanship of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, St. Mary’s University and UT Health President’s Development Board.

He currently sits on a number of boards, including Royalton Real Estate Company of Dallas, Haven for Hope, San Antonio Area Foundation and Dominion Country Club. He was a former chairman of Santikos Enterprises and is a current CPS board member. He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University and his MBA from Southern Methodist University; both degrees in finance. Kelley is a professionally certified member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a licensed Texas real estate broker.
